Ive been waiting a loooong time for this, Ive been keeping myself satisfied the last few years with my VHS tapes ( I have all 169 episodes on tape). But the quality of my tapes has diminshed greatly so this is great, I cant wait to pick em up :thumb: At least its only 9 seasons, those simpsons dvd's are like 40 bucks apiece and there's what 16, 17 and counting. Thats a big investment, although the simps are worth every penny! Seinfeld is one of my favorite shows of all time, Im most looking forward to those outtakes and bloopers it should be great.

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

The first 2 or so seasons, like the simpsons were pretty dull I think...they were just getting their groove.

So I'll wait until the later years come out.

Season 3 was also released today. The reason the first two seasons are not as outrageous is because the characters are still being developed. Jerry remained pretty static throughout the show, though his acting improved. Elaine became more cooky, George became more outrageous and Kramer just developed a personna all his own. Can't wait for the rest!!!

I agree that season 1 had some dull moments, but for me it started to pick up steam during seasons 2 and 3. Rory is right. The DVDs are amazing.

Like anything, Seinfeld got better as it got older, but there are vital moments in the first few seasons that play pivotal roles in future plot-lines. I agree, it's a "must-have" set of DVDs.

On a related note, the Puffy Shirt (which was only in one episode) is now in the Smithsonian Instistitution. How cool is that?

Then Kramer's line in a later episode when wearing the eye patch, "I want to be a pirate".

Seasons 1 and 2 come together in one package. Season 3 is on it's own. You can also get all three seasons in one big box.

Seasons 1 and 2 are $50. All three are $90. I don't know how much Season 3 is on its own.

They are releasing the entire series in a package for $284.
Not bad at $8 a disk, below is the release:

Complete Seinfeld DVD Set... Yada, Yada, Yada... $284

Seinfeld courtesy Sony Pictures TelevisionOn Nov. 6, as the final season of Seinfeld arrives on DVD, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is also streeting a boxed set boasting all nine seasons. Seinfeld: The Complete Series, says the Hollywood Reporter, delivers 180 episodes on 32 discs, all for a suggested list price of $283.95 — not that there's anything wrong with that. After all, the set includes a 226-page coffee-table book filled with photos, quotes, trivia and personal reflections from Jerry Seinfeld, a compilation previously only shared by him with his cast mates.

The book, in turn, contains a DVD featuring a roundtable discussion between Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards and series creator Larry David, the first reunion of its kind for the group, held on the ninth anniversary of the May 1998 series finale. Among the plethora of DVD extras is a reedit of "The Betrayal," the famous "backwards" episode, this time going forward.

Not included in all this: a marble rye. Still, that's a whole lotta nothing!
