"Rice will close his career with 38 NFL records, including those for career receptions (1,549), yards receiving (22,895) and touchdowns receiving (197)"

Not only was Rice the best receiver ever but he was also a class act all the way. Are you paying attention Moss and Owens? This is how a football player is suppossed to act.

What an outstanding career, look at his numbers in 1996 Confusedhock:

The gap between him and the next best at his position might be the largest of any position.

Does this make him the greatest football player ever? An argument could be made/

I think his time to retire was before last season. He went into camp last year already running out of gas. After the trade to the Hawks he really didnt do much.

Even if he made the 3 spot on the WR depth chart, is that really where Rice should be playing? I dont think so.

Absolutely an argument could be made that he's the greatest football player ever. It sure will spark a lot of heated debates at the sports bars and over the talk radio shows, that's for sure!
