Did anybody else catch his performance on SNL last night? I was in utter awe. I have his last effort, "You're The One", and I didn't like that at all, but after last night, I'm thinking about picking up "Surprise". I'd go as far to say that Paul Simon brought it more this week than the Chili Peps did last week! Wow, that was awesome!

i had the pleasure of meeting the drummer he had last night , a year or so ago in Rochester where i worked , his name is steve gadd, great session drummer . got him to sign the cover of modern drummer when he was on the cover . cool guy ! he works with paul simon , eric clapton and james taylor the later came to rochester to record october road in rochester because steve didn't want to travel. interesting story about james taylor the studio he worked in was lindon oaks (sp) and they have a wall in the studio with rocks on it he named all the rocks with female names..

Steve Gadd is one of the best drummers to ever live. on drummerworld.com you can see some video's of his solos and they are absolutely mind blowing.
