Where to get packaging to ship vinyl???
#1

Hello there.

I have entered into an agreement to purchase some vinyl from a member here. The problem is, he is having a hard time finding a satisfactory type of box/packaging to ship the item - it will be going across 2 provinces. Any ideas/suggestions on what to use and where to obtain???

Thank you very much in advance for any help that you may offer. :thumb:

I've received LPs from Europe in bubble wrap and then enclosed in box cardboard cut to size and sealed with Gorilla tape. Pretty cheap, never had an issue. Canada Post will give you a "Fragile" sticker or two.

Pizza boxes, preferably clean ones Tongue with extra packing top & bottom.
Try a post office or ups store, even some dollar stores sell cartons.
If he's in Montreal I have a bunch in the basement.

at least a dozen shows - Montreal - Ste.Adele - Verdun ARA - Highgate ARA - Kanata - Sugarbush - Portsmouth

I get so scared every time I order from Europe, especially 7" records because they ship in bubble mailers. I've had a $300 limited single destroyed. Didn't even get any money back because I still had the item, although it was worth a fraction of what I paid.

Oh god no. Please not a pizza box.

Go to your local record shop and they will probably have some. Where are they located? I have a bunch of mailers. Some that will fit 1-2 and some that will fit 5+. I'd gladly pass them on..

I like what thebends is suggesting. The seller is in Saskatoon and I also suggested the post office or record shop to him. I am going to send him a link to this thread.

Thank yous for the help.

U-Line has them, so does most box stores. I pay 1.80 per at my local box store.
