Irving did not sell out last time - that is the best that I can do.

Yes. Yes it is, and I used almost the exact words as you when I emailed them a few months ago asking them to come to town. The Pageant is by far the best venue in STL.

Damn, I'd better hurry up and get my freakin' passport so I can actually see one of these shows. What a pain in the ass. I'm gonna miss the good old days when all you needed to cross the border was a photo ID.

if you 're driving across the border, you don't need your passport until '09..the passport is only for flying right now

As early as January 1, 2008, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. While recent legislative changes permit a later deadline, the Departments of State and Homeland Security are working to meet all requirements as soon as possible. Ample advance notice will be provided to enable the public to obtain passports or passport cards for land/sea entries.

First:
I'm floored not to see a syracuse date (unless they're squeezing it in on the weekend!) Actually on second thought, the crowd seems to get smaller every year... so maybe it's not such a huge surprise. I can hope!
Second:
Here's a conspiracy theory: Do you think they release tours in stages to sell more tickets? For example, I would buy northen lights tix, but for all I know they could announce a syracuse date after I buy those tix? Maybe I'm just grasping at straws here....

The border control from Canada into America was possibly one of the scariest experiences of my life...

Which begs the question...why? (I'm guessing I know why.)

Really? I've probably crossed the border at least two dozen times over the years, and I've never had any problems. They ask to see your ID, ask you a couple of questions, and then send you on your way. What happened to you?
