Match-up #61 - Locked In The Trunk Of A Car Vs. Escape Is At Hand For The Travellin' Man
I ask you to listen to the two songs in the match-up Back to Back, and consider the lyrics of the song. Feel free to post an unbiased analysis of both songs in this thread, but please refrain from cheerleading or making predictions for your favourites.

Escape has an eerie vibe that really reflects the band. Not that Locked isn't great- it has a lot of power in all the instruments, as well as Gord's voice.
But Escape is something special, and it is definitely the most underrated Hip song

I love Locked... I mean, I really, really do. I can still remember seeing the vid for the first time and being just blown away by the intensity.... but Escape! Escape.... it's the greatest song ever written! And if it makes it to the next round, it'll be the first time I vote against Nautical too! That'll hurt!

I voted for locked. This isn't the first time Ive voted against Escape either. I think I mentioned before, Escape is an on-again-off-again song for me.
Locked has always kicked my ass though!

Just listened to Locked again and I must say Gord screaming "let me ouuuuuuuutttttt" was the deciding factor for me. Plus its my all time fav. song. My theme song so to speak.
