To get a true appreciation of his impact on the game, I highly recommend this book.

amazing book..

on a somewhat lighter note, my dad who is a Cowboys fan, phoned to send his best to me as a niners fan, but noted that even in death the niners could still piss off the 'boys...the Walsh special pre-empted the Dallas Cowboys training camp show. Somewhere, that's making Bill smile

Amazing what one man's ideas meant to the entire game of football and how it revolutionized how many teams played the game. The NFL has lost a great man, there will never be another like him.
