Well, I really dont need to purchase it, but I probably will anyways. I own everything MGB and MG has done, and I think he/they were amazing one of the best Canadian bands ever...yes I think so! If not than just for the new song "Oh Be Joyful" its a killer tune. :thumb:

Yeah his attitude sometimes leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth, I agree. But I think he has a cool voice and he made some awesome music. So I really dont pay much attention to what he says or does beyond the music. Hmm I wonder.. If (lets pretend) Gord Downie was a jerk or an asshole off stage, lets say he treated fans with disdain and gave reporters a hard time and generally shunned the media and spotlight, would it put you off the band? Or make you like them less? Im just trying to think, who have been some of rocks biggest jerks, but were in a great band and made great music...

I don't know which brother it was, perhaps both, but the dude(s) from Oasis was pretty notorious for being an ass, and I really liked "What's The Story, Morning Glory?"
I just all around don't like Matt Good...music, attitude, the whole works.
Your talking about Liam Gallagher, good pick! His brother Noel had his moments too, they just weren't as bas as Liam's.

White Light Rock and Roll Review is a very good album IMO. Also, I used to listen to Underdogs ALL THE TIME. He's made some great music. He had Pat Steward on his last solo album, the same guy who bangs the skins with Strippers Union. Good stuff.

Totally agree, White Light is great :thumb: I'll be buying his Hits/DVD package...
I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

So do I, amen sister!!! His solo work is fantastic, I was blown away by WL, I missed him on the last tour, so I hope he will swing by London again in support of this hits package.

Yeah, I do agree that Matt Good is a whiny, mouthy little jerk. But he did make some real good music (though I haven't picked up his latest because what I heard didn't excite me all that much).
Strangest One of All is still one of my favourite songs.

True, the guy has a bit of an attitude problem, but the dude is one talented bastard, and he knows how to write a good tune. He's got a great singing voice too.
It's funny, I remember him making some derogatory comments towards the Hip a few years back, and then a couple interviews later he sort of back-tracked and talked about how cool he thought they were and how brilliant Gord Downie's lyrics are. Next thing you know he's opening for them in Kingston for the Across the Causeway show. My guess is that somewhere along the line he actually met them and discovered what a great bunch of guys they were, hence his sudden change of heart.
