Anyone heard anything about a tour for the new album? I am not talking about the few summer festival gigs they have recently done, but rather a new-album-headlining-indoor-venue-tour.
I'm going to fly over to Toronto to see them for the first time so I am itching for any information if anyone knows anything. Please satisfy me!

I fully expect a full on Canadian tour to be announced this fall/winter, this is there biggest market and fanbase, it wouldnt make sense for them not to, so dont fret its coming.
Ive been in high expectation for an announcement myself. That Sarnia Bayfest show was just a tease, it kicked ass though, cant wait to see them again, still listen to Burn Burn daily.
Sorry but thats all i got, hopefully it gets you through the night.

Thanks for the other info LK. I hope you are spot on. I wanna catch them on at least two shows this time around, have only seen them once - on the Paranoid tour.

I hope they include a PEI date whenever they do announce the tour. I've only seen OLP once before, opening for The Stones in Moncton in '05, and honestly i didn't think they were very good at all. I'd like see one of their headlining arena gigs though.

Yeah, seems pretty hit and miss with this band I must admit. I have heard some BAD reviews on their live shows. I've only seen them once and they were great so I'm not really one to say. I may also have been slightly swayed by Raine's spoken word version of 'Grace, Too' which he pulled out of NOWHERE. I would have been excited had he even sung 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' I must admit but Grace was very cool.

Ive seen OLP on every tour since Naveed and Ive never seen a "bad" show, some were better than others sure, but they shows always had great energy the sound was good and the band seemed to enjoy playing live. Thats been my experience with the band for what its worth. You're always going to get people who hate this and that, just go see the bands you like and judge for yourself, dont be discouraged about going. OLP has alot of great live songs in their catalogue and the new album sounds great live (ive seen it), this is a great time to see them, go for it.

Oh no don't get me wrong, LK, I couldn't give a fuck about what other people think. As we know with some of the Hip reviews that have been posted here, written by 'journalists', it comes down to people's opinions and that's about it. I'm going to go as many OLP shows as I can. I LOVE this band. You have great taste in music by the way

To OLP's credit, The Tragically Hip were also on the bill that day/night, and of all The Hip shows i've attended, it was definitely my least favorite. Looking back though, what a line-up that was, save for Les Trois Accords & Maroon 5 that is. Our Lady Peace, The Tragically Hip, and The Rolling Stones playing to 85,000 people on a +27 sunny Saturday in September! The Stones were incredible, still the best concert i've ever attended.
