I have went a little bonkers over the last few months.

Short answer: almost everything I could get my hands on.

Long answer: First I set out to be a vinyl completist, and bought all of the singles. Including extras in case I needed trade bait. Then I found myself buying promo CD singles. Casettes. Backstage passes. Setlists. Ticket stubs. Why? A great question that is occasionally asked.

In the past I had bought every poster from shows I attended. A few years ago I ran out of wallspace/frame funds and decided to only buy posters I loved, selling many after deciding I would never frame them. After the announcement I experienced sellers remorse and went on a quest to recover the posters I parted with.

Shortly after that, a couple cool/rare posters appeared from shows way before my time, and with the post-MMP tour excitement/emotion I decided not to pass on the opportunity. What if they were one of a kind and never appeared again? It has been a very slippery slope from there. A steeper slope than I imagined.

A few hipbasers I have chatted with know of my rudimentary plans to eventually exhibit the collection. Possibly the weekend of Aug 20 2017? Maybe a longer engagement depending on what is available, and the cost. When I have some time to collect my thoughts I plan to post a thread asking for suggestions and feedback.

For now, most of it remains in sealed envelopes/boxes from all over North America and Europe. My attempt at a unique take on the "grand opening" concept.

You should chat with hipbase member Vic Colville about showing off your collection at HipCon that he is planning.
Also, since you live in Kingston, you should really petition your town to set-up a Tragically Hip Museum. Think of all of the tourism dollars they could bring in... I have more ideas on the whole museum concept/layout, should you have some connections to pitch it to locally, PM me sometime.

Is there any interest in live hip VHS tapes? I have about 10-12 or so if anyone's interested. PM if interested.

I'd be willing to sell the lot pretty cheap. Perhaps just $20 plus shipping.

The itinerary is pretty cool.

Re: let's see your Hip stuff - Tthip - 05-06-2017

I was out of town last week and while packing I pulled down some hats to see what I was bringing with me.
I ran across some hats I totally forgot that The Hip released (I think one is a bootleg)

Dana, Which tour era was the 4 arrows hat from? I just found and bought the four arrows toque from a thrift shop today for a buck!
