Match-up #44 - Cordelia Vs. It Can't Be Nashville Every Night
I ask you to listen to the two songs in the match-up Back to Back, and consider the lyrics of the song. Feel free to post an unbiased analysis of both songs in this thread, but please refrain from cheerleading or making predictions for your favourites.

I think if Cordelia had to go against Makeshift, Melt, or You're Everywhere, it would have been in for a rougher ride. This one smells like a cake-walk to me.

Of the songs on IBE, Nashville and Heaven really didn't age very well in my opinion (and they're only 3 years old!). I might put Gus in there too.

Um yeah... I'm gonna have to go ahead and sort-of... disagree with you there. I think Nashville will give it the best fight of the songs on IBE except for maybe You're Everywhere (seems to be a hipbase fav.) Nashville is one of my favourite tunes, I'm gonna have to dig up the "IBE Favorite song" thread to find out for sure, though.

I think the 'Office Space' reference might have been missed there... but either way, the results thus far are not all that surprising to me. I think 'Nashville' is one of the finer songs on IBE, but 'Cordelia' is just too damn good...

once again voted for the underdog here - Nashville is just a really fun pop song, not overly deep for the hip, but hella catchy. I myself could never get into cordelia

I don't know how you misunderstood my post so horribly. What I meant was that I was going to look in the old thread to see how popular Nashville was vs. the other songs on IBE, because I always thought it was one of the favorites among hipbase members.
