No team named as a spinoff of a Disney movie can be permitted to win Lord Stanley's Cup. Shit like that can put the whole universe out of alignment, and I will not stand for it.
They've dropped the "mighty" from their name, as well as the cartoon logo. That's good enough for me.

You picked
Jackman in a hockey pool? Was Wendel Clark already selected? Was it an 80 round draft? Seriously.........
Jackman?

success in my pool depends on both teams.
we all picked 6 forwards and 4 D, plus a 'team' goalie.
i am now 23 points out of first., in 2nd.
i have getzlaf, macdonald, marchant, anaheim, fisher, phillips, vermette, meszaros, soprykin left.
the guy in first only has spezza and corvo left.
600 for first prize, 300 for second.
so needless to say i am hopin spezza gets shut down.

Exactly!
I honestly can't understand how a Leaf fan can cheer for Ottawa... might as well ask me to stop breathing oxygen! There's no rule that says Canadians have to cheer for the last Canadian team in the NHL to win the Cup... it doesn't make me any less Canadian.
I truly question Leaf fans who say they are cheering for the Sens to win the Cup... makes me question what kind of Leaf fans they really are.

For the Leafs Fans who have debased themselves by allowing their allegiance to be moved to the Senators, even in circumstances such as these, here is a sobering thought that will hopefully put you back on the right path and have you directing all your negative energy to our Nation's Capital ... think about Daniel Alfredsson shaking hands with Gary Bettman and then putting his filthy, blistered lips on the Stanley Cup.
Sweet dreams, traitors.

It's an auction style pool I'm in with three of my co-workers against other banks and law firms here in T.O. Each team was given $1,000,000 to bid on different lots of players, and all three of those guys came as one group. So we had to take Jackman to get Moen and Getzlaf.

The whining has already begun in Ottawa, only a game into the series. I think someone might need to help Spezza take his pacifier out.:rambo:
Ottawa coach Bryan Murray complained that the Ducks were taking liberties with his netminder Ray Emery.
"He got slashed three or four times after he had his hand on the puck," Murray said.
He then threatened that his team would do the same if it didn't stop. Both Murray and Jason Spezza complained that the Ducks were obstructing the Sens when they tried to gain the Anaheim zone.
"Apparently the old rules are back in play for holdups. It seems like they were allowed to hold us up on the forecheck. But we'll just have to get used to it," Spezza said.
"When you dump the puck in, they hold you out," Murray added. "In our side, it doesn't happen very often."

Methinks the Sens are worried because they are finally running into a team with significant team toughness. We'll see what happens though... 0-0 right now in the third... tense times...
