Paul Langlois – Not Guilty 11-5-2013
#31
I like hearing different opinions but I have to say I enjoy both of Paul's solo albums. I didn't care much for Stripper's Union at all, so I didn't expect much (let alone Hip) from Paul's solo stuff but I've been pleasantly surprised and would put these on par with GD's best solo albums.

But if you're expecting Hip from any of these guys by themselves...ain't gonna happen.

Yes Pauls solo stuff is great, but I find its a lot better live than the cd.

The show in Saint John at Pepper's Pub was unreal.
Maybe, 20 people there?
Got to sing and dance all night!
Paul may have looked a little surprised that there were actually people (and by people, I mean person) singing along haha

Pauls solo show in Waterloo might just have been a concert highlight for me with regards to a small club show. My wife and I still watch the fan dvd of the show. Thanks to Mark and Vic for the video and Scott for putting it all together. It is one hell of a great dvd.

I was unable to make it out to any of his shows. That video would be awesome to see.

What an amazing record. Been rocking it this afternoon.

'And I know we’re true
I’ve paid my money
And I think you have, too
Haven’t you, honey? '

Paul, your solo career has my support 1000%. I will always, ALWAYS, go see your show.

I have a lot of love for both of Paul's solo albums. I never get tired of the growling Les Paul sound, and he's quite the songwriter as well.

This thread has inspired me to make Paul Langlois the soundtrack to my Saturday morning.

I'm giving this album its proper due four-and-a-half years after the fact. It's fantastic. It didn't do much for me the first time 'round, but today, inspired by my friend making a "Paul Langlois is useless" comment (it's a very, very, very old joke between us), I made it my pre-Super Bowl soundtrack. Love the voice, love the words, love the guitar. Hopefully we'll get more from him soon - I'd love to see him and Rob touring his music.
