HELP!

I'm trying to open up my seed again for the NYC show, but it's only going up to 99% and then trying to connect to peers. It didn't do this yesterday when I uploaded it the first time. Any thoughts/suggestions?? I've tried it three times this morning, to no avail...

Did you change any of the files that you are trying to seed? Renamed, moved, altered in any way, etc? If so, you need to change them back to their original state.

If not, hmmmm.... A good ol' restart might do the trick. And try logging on to the tracker site again.

Rory, I remember a similar problem a couple months ago when someone was seeding the Syracuse 2004 show. Everybody got to 99.8%, and it just stopped. I went back to bt.etree, did a search for that thread, and found this posted from the seeder:

"...I found out my previous problems were with the 3 .txt files I had edited after launching the .Torrent so the files d1T1, d1t17 & d2t18 were not downloading completely. The way the files are hashed kind of explains the why it was not downloading completely before..."

I don't know if this helps, but if there was a problem with the text file, you might be able to put the original text file back in, and try seeding again.

It just finished now...Everybody, don't delete your 99.9% downloaded files. Just click on the new listed torrent file, and when it asks you where to save, choose the folder you've been downloading to. It will finish the last 2 files in a minute....

Thanks Rory, can't wait to hear this one!

post i will reseed this later when i get home tonight (going to see the baby leafs at the ACC) only problem is no matter what i tell ABC, with the localized settings it always cuts out after 30 minutes as per my universal settings, ill have to adjust that so i can seed this a little longer.

Gotta go make mental note so I don't forget

Was that at Hammerstein Ballroom ? I was at that show I think right after the Philly show - Wasn't the COOL SHOTS episode shot there that night.... Penguin & Verge were deadly...

The PP Tour was deadly

Any chance that somebody could reseed:

Name: TTH: 1998-11-28 - New York City, NY
Torrent: tth1998-11-28 NYC.torrent

I'm stuck at that confounded 99.9% point, and this show exceeded the five torrent limit because of the shows I've been seeding all week. Most of them have hit the >1:1 ratio and I'd like to get the remaining 256.0 kB I'm lacking. (I've already DL'd the newer torrent.)

Thanks in advance. :thumb:

As I slowly fill up my gigs, I was thinking this exact same thing earlier today! I want one of those slick external jobbies. Also, I had no plan to get so into this downloading thing, so I have bits and pieces of sets and no organization skills to speak of...I need a organizing boots for dummies book for x-mas!

Rory & Chris...you guys are Awesome!

My PC's barely a year old and I just added a second external drive to keep up with all the awesome shows being shared and leave me room to burn discs & do other stuff.

To keep things organized, I set up one external drive strictly for downloads. Then I set up separate folders for Hip audio and Hip video. To keep track of the shows, I don't use default "save" locations, opting instead to do a "save as" every time I download a torrent, in the appropriate A or V folder. When I open the torrent, I create a new folder with the actual torrent name. When I've exceeded the 1:1 share ratio and there are no active uploads, I move the torrent file into the folder with the downloaded files.

Since people have been using Chris's suggested "naming" format, it's fairly easy to find everyting later. That's the "Cliff's Notes" version of Organizing Boots for Dummies.

If it makes sense, you can ask Santa for Dave Bidini's On a Cold Road : Tales of Adventure in Canadian Rock instead.

Rock on! :thumb:
