there's lots of good stuff on this site ("La Blogotheque"). A friend of mine in France and his cronies do some pretty sweet work with the "cinema verite + indie band" thing.

Enjoy!

That is probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen a band do! It's very Guster-esque in the acoustic, unplugged version just for the fans!

Their stock just jumped ten-fold in my books!

Just listened to the album three times through and wow - really liking the new stuff! If you haven't already gone out and bought this album yet, you don't know what you are missing!

After a few weeks with it now, I have to say it is right up there with Funeral. Windowsill, Intervention, and My Body is a Cage are my favourite tracks.

I got the leaked version a couple months back, and I've had enough time for this to all sort of settle, and I like (Antichrist Television Blues) the best. Maybe this will continue to grow on me, but right now it's *just* short of Funeral in my mind.

You know, since Neon Bible came out, I kept asking myself, "What the hell is so special about the Arcade Fire?". I would get irritated every time they were mentioned because NO ONE WILL SHUT UP ABOUT THEM. But I got the album tonight, and I'm listening to it right now. It's... It's really, really good. Damnit.

After finally spending enough time with it, I like it as much or more than Funeral. My favourite tracks are Keep The Car Running and Antichrist Television Blues.

I caught their show tonight at Massey Hall, and let me just say after seeing them live I'm even more impressed with this band than I was before. Don't remember the exact setlist but they opened with Black Mirror and No Cars Go, and ended the main set with an electifying rendition of Neighborhood #3 (Power Out) that flowed right into Rebellion (Lies) without stopping. They came back out and did Keep the Car Running and Intervention, and then after a few more minutes of urging from the crowd, they came back again and closed with Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels). In between I think they played everything else off of Neon Bible, and also Neighborhood #2 (Laika) and Haiti from Funeral. What a show :thumb:

Thats awesome, I tried to get tickets for that a while back but by the time I realized they were on sale the show was long since sold out. Glad to hear they put on a good show though, everytime I've seen them perform on television they looked really good live.

Awesome man...Caught the show on Tuesday and needless t'say, I was blown away...A full-scale production which didn't overshadow the raw talent each member of the band's got...Anyway, many thanks and can't wait....

I'm going to see them OUTDOORS next Thursday. I am so excited, almost as much as for my front seat at the GM Place Hip show. I saw the Arcade Fire last time they were here in October of 05 and was absolutely amazed. Great energy.
